Happy Valentines Day Everyone!!
We are sooo close to meeting our little boy we can taste it!! Exactly 8 months today and roughly 8 weeks to go!
We had our Dr. appointment today and got the results back from our follow up ultrasound... Everything looks perfect! The placenta previa has resolved itself as expected and Elijah is growing great! He is about 3 lbs 9 oz at the moment and in the 45th percentile for weight. At first I was concerned that slightly below average was not good but Dan said "Do you want the fattest baby on the planet?" I'm like "Is that what 100th would be??" Math was never my strong suit... I just knew I wanted an above-average kid! :) Anyway, I am perfectly happy with average, especially when I still have to get him out somehow!
I am doing great! I am up 23lbs total and my belly is up 1/2 an inch from last month. Other than that, everything is staying consistent. I am, however, beginning to understand the woes of the final trimester. I am feeling awkward and definitely slowing down. I had hoped to maintain Spin until 36 weeks but this week I have come to the realization that I cannot keep up my intensity much longer. It is getting difficult to lean over my belly and I am beginning to have more contractions when I exercise. The midwife told me today that contractions while I am exercising are completely normal but to be sure they do not continue beyond my workout. Still, I think I am going to have to tone it down here shortly. Good news is though, that if Elijah decided to come now or anytime thereafter, he would suffer short term effects but none long term. Phew... A sigh of relief!!
Daddy is doing great and still busy as ever working his 2 full time jobs. He is an incredible provider and we are SO lucky to have him. He makes our world go 'round!
Hope you all are doing well! In just a few short weeks we will be posting pictures of our precious baby in the flesh! We are so excited to meet him.
Love to you all,
The Turners
P.S... The belly kisses are courtesy of my fabulous friend Beckie! She returned the favor I did her at the same time last year right before her son came. What a good friend!! :)
